African American Business Council

Organization of African American BBA members who meet monthly to network, share business information, formulate solutions to business challenges as well as offer regional business enhancement recommendations to the BBA's Board of Directors. Chaired by L’Tryce Slade of Slade Land Use, Environmental and Transportation Planning LLC. BBA staff contact is Nan Baldwin at nbaldwin@birminghambusinessalliance.com.

Hispanic Business Council

The Hispanic Business Council's mission is to provide resources for economic development and professional opportunities for Hispanic owned businesses and individuals in the Birmingham area. Membership is open to all BBA investors. The HBC Chair is Vivian Mora of State Farm and the Vice-Chair is Maria Norena of the Minority Health and Research Center at UAB. Birmingham Diversity Summit

The Birmingham Diversity Summit is Alabama’s largest workforce diversity conference. In 2008, the conference hosted more than 50 exhibitors and nearly 500 business professionals, entrepreneurs and experts in the field of diversity. This year's summit is scheduled for Nov. 6 and should be just as engaging and will feature proven nation, regional and local experts.
