Chilton County

Chilton County is the geographic center of Alabama and is located between Birmingham and Montgomery.  With a 2015 population estimate of 44,874, Chilton County has experienced a population growth of 14% since 2000. Clanton is the largest city and has a 2015 population estimate of 8,704.  The county’s fortunate logistic factors are beginning to reap benefits. A traditional peach growing region, Chilton County has recently profited from its proximity to Alabama’s growing automotive manufacturing sector and the county’s central location makes it ripe for distribution development.
