With a 2015 population estimate of 207,501, Shelby County has experienced a 45% population increase since 2000. The largest cities in the County are: Alabaster (2015 population estimate of 31,940) and Pelham (2014 population estimate of 22,403).  Shelby County has emerged as a viable business destination and offers two office markets for corporate operations. The Highway 280 market is among the fastest growing business corridors in the Southeast and the I-65 office market is located in the county’s northern region. The I-65 south corridor has prime locations for distribution and manufacturing.
