St. Clair County

With a 2015 population estimate of 87,666, St. Clair County’s population has increased 35% since 2000.  Major cities include: Pell City ( 2015 population estimate of 12,888) and Moody (2015 population estimate of 12,209). The I- 20 corridor provides access to the 3.1-million square foot Honda manufacturing facility and has spurred a significant automotive supplier base. The I-59 corridor provides access to the County’s northern communities and has experienced major commercial and residential growth.  Jefferson State Community College has recently located a branch institution – enhancing the county’s appeal for knowledge-based employment.
