Inclusive Procurement Council

The Inclusive Procurement Council (IPC), powered by the BBA, was launched out of Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin’s Valuing Inclusion to Accelerate and Lift (VITAL) pledge.
Composed of procurement and supplier diversity professionals at the region’s top companies or procurers, IPC’s purpose is to create a community among these professionals, share best practices and connect them with qualified underrepresented businesses. The Council will host two matchmaker events with suppliers throughout the year.
The Small Business team conducts ongoing one-on-one consultation sessions with alumni one to four times a year and invites them to speak to current participants and to participate in select IPC meetings. The IPC strives to bridge the gap between large corporations and underrepresented small businesses.
Comprised of procurement and supplier diversity professionals from leading regional companies, the IPC facilitates connections, shares best practices and promotes supplier development.
In collaboration with the BBA’s Small Business Team, the IPC provides oversight, resources and networking opportunities to approximately 150 small businesses.
