UAB tops $500 million in research funding

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) recently announced it had surpassed $500 million in research grants and awards, reaching $527,025,137.

This is the first time UAB has reached that landmark and is a 10 percent increase over last year. This solidifies it as an economic engine in Alabama and as a world-class medical center, which will attract additional students, faculty and research dollars to Birmingham. Read more here.
